".....We entered 3 year 7 and 5 year 8 girls to play in the Catherine Fraser Memorial football tournament run by Exeter City Football Club.
18 teams took part from East Devon, Exeter, and the Teign Valley.
Our girls were exceptional in every way. Scoring over 15 goals not including two sudden death penalties. The standard was very high but we were clearly the team to beat.
One draw and four convincing wins and one of two sudden death penalties took us to the cup final against Exeter School. Serious competition as they had three Exeter City players.
2 all on the final whistle took us to penalties for the second time but we knew we had a good track record and were well rehearsed.
3 all and sudden death.
Jess W saved the fourth attempt by Exeter leaving Emily G to step up and score to take the win. Nerves of steel, she took an excellent penalty and secured the team the overall trophy.
What a day - so proud of them - just goes to show what our students are capable of achieving - hopefully they will go from strength to strength......"
